Parkinson's disease primarily affects motor behaviour, but people suffering from this neurodegenerative disease often notice changes in perception and cognition as well. While medical interventions like dopamine replacement therapy have been used to successfully treat these complex symptoms, some promising complementary effects in the treatment have been shown by alternative methods, such as the use of music.
